Keeping it Local – Jane Brydon – Dog Training Coach

August 1, 2017 By //  by Ann Miller 1 Comment

Jane Brydon is a local, certified professional dog trainer who believes that, “Dog training is not about punishment… It’s about reward!”

For over 25 years, her “family” has included dogs of all shapes, breeds, sizes – and behavioral problems. Wanting to make her home a welcoming place for friends, as well as her pets, she researched and experimented with just about every type of dog training program available. In the process she made an amazing discovery – Positive, reward-based training works!

She has worked with animals in a wide variety of educational and research settings: The Philadelphia Zoo, Schuylkill Valley Nature Center, and the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust to name a few.

Jane holds a B.A. degree in Animal Behavior from Beaver College (now Arcadia University), a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a second Master’s Degree in Psycho Educational Processes from Temple University. She holds credentials in the following organizations

  • A Supporting Member of International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants
  • Studied under Pat Miller, internationally known dog trainer and animal behaviorist
  • Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and Dog Writers Association of America
  • Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator

Located in Glen Mills, PA, Jane offers a variety of classes in group or private settings where she practices her positive approach to good behavior. To find out more about Jane Brydon and the services she offers, click here.

Jane is the best! I met Jane 9 years ago to assist me in behavioral training of my young Bichon who was non-responsive to conventional training techniques. Jane’s patience and positive approach was a success. Bailey is now 10 and has been an excellent role model for his 4 year old brother. Small breeds can be a challenge. When asked how I resolved common small breed issues, I reference Jane Brydon and the Cottage in Glen Mills.
    Thank you Jane,
    Angela L, Bailey and Blaise
